While in the motel in the evening last week I entertained myself by sketching a flower I picked in the parking lot and painting the painted hills from memory. This landscape is one I seem to always play with when I want to try any new media.
This blog is for sharing my sketches even if they aren't good. It is intended to encourage me to sketch in spite of excuses, and while facing my obstacles. This will remind me to sketch in any way that appeals to my creative impluse at the moment. I will watch my son and follow his example. He just has fun. I will give up wanting something perfect. I will sketch anyway . . .

Lovely use of a parking lot plant! I, like you, believe that drawing is a good means of thearapy if we just let go and draw without worrying about perfection. What emerges is our very own "style".
Great job on these!
