Sketch-a-Day

Here is my sketch-a-day for August so far. This is more fun than I expected it to be. I'm using Prismacolor markers that I bought on Ebay. It is an interesting exercise to draw a chunky picture in a 1 5/8" square. It's true that even when many aren't good, together they are fun. Even better when I squint :-)

This looks great squinting or not (I tried)! Welcome to EDM, I'm sure you will have fun!

This is really neat! I hadn't seen one of these before and I really like the effect. I also like the horse sticking out of his frame a bit!

Welcome to EDM - these are very effective - like a sheet of postage stamps only better because they're all different.

These are all great! Love the color. Is each day's drawing inspired by something that happens during the day or do you draw whatever you feel like?

So far, this one is inspired by something that happened that day. I think I may change the theme next month and do all colored pencil florals, or maybe graphite landscapes, or crayon cartoons. This one surpised me by helping me to see that I had a major migraine the day before a big thunderstorm. In the future, I'll be paying attention to see if that is a trigger for me. Maybe inspired by the day is best :-)

Welcome to EDM! I love the group of pictures - I patricularly like #27 - the horse really looks like he's looking over the fence at us! All the best.
